Go Lyreco!
Key Account Manager at Hambleside Merchandise, Stuart Fry recently got involved in a charity project with his brother’s employer, Lyreco. On Sunday 28th April 2013, Stuart’s brother Greg Fry and the Lyreco senior management team ran the Shakespeare Half Marathon in Stratford upon Avon to raise money for their charity Lyreco For Education, which supports the educational development of children throughout the world. Hambleside Merchandise supplied 11 branded Nike T-shirts for the runners to wear on the day. The purple shirts were eye catching, emblazoned with the Lyreco logo across the back. The team completed the course in fantastic times averaging from 1hr 34 to 2hrs 20. Greg himself completed it in 1hr 53. Greg commented, “The T-shirts were superb! The team were blown away with them and I was so impressed with the print quality and time scales of delivery!” No injuries were sustained from the race but there were a lot of sore legs for a week after and according to Greg, the FD had to take the lift to the second floor on the following Monday! The runners raised approximately £3,000 for Lyreco For Education! The money will go towards supporting primary schools and nursery schools in developing countries and give thousands of children proper access to education.
