As a specialist promotional merchandise distributor, Hambleside Merchandise offers a range of over 200,000 products, sourced from an established base of over 150 trade suppliers and manufacturers.
Researching Product Sources
We continue to research new product sources at local and international trade fairs and through independent research. This is to identify the latest trends and pro-actively bring new ideas and products to our clients, allowing us to provide innovative and creative ideas and product options that suit all budgets, lead times and applications.
Designing, Sourcing and Producing Products
The variety of products we supply range from off the shelf promotional pens from leading brands such as Parker, Senator and Prodir, to custom designed whale shaped stress items, produced in large volumes for a product launch by Whale Tankers. We have designed, sourced and managed production of bespoke Costa Coffee USBs, branded and colour matched Wellington Boots and printed purple Clothes Pegs from a Far East manufacturer for use by Leeds Beckett staff at summer music festivals. We have also supplied the NHS with high quality crystal plates and decanters made in the UK as awards for blood donors.
How We Vet Our Suppliers
All sourcing is mainly done through our major key trade suppliers which are all UK or European trading organisations that comply with European trading laws. These suppliers are vetted either through our purchasing group, The Page Partnership or by Hambleside itself. We are also a Charter Member of the BPMA (British Promotional Merchandise Association) which regulates its members in terms of best practice, legislation and service levels.
Suppliers are evaluated upon, amongst other areas; quality (including plain product, branding and quality control procedures), competitive pricing, labour standards, raw material sourcing, compliance with all laws and appropriate legislation, financial stability, environmental credentials, ethical policy and customer service standards.

Hambleside are entirely confident, through experience, in the quality standards of our supply chain partners. Many of our suppliers have ISO certified quality procedures; others have very strong performance reputations in the industry. We confidently offer a quality guarantee which ensures our clients do not pay for products which do not fully meet the agreed specification.
