EAUC Conference Success

The Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC) Conference took place on 17^th and 18^th April at the University of Nottingham. This is the environmental and sustainability event of the year for the education sector and Hambleside Merchandise attended to showcase our eco-friendly products. The event ensures that every aspect of the programme is sustainable – including the food! The food served was awarded Gold Standard by the Soil Association having been supplied by organic, eco-friendly and Fair Trade producers. Exhibitors covered a wide range of industries and organisations offering sustainability services and products for the Further and Higher Education sector. 400 delegates attended and our stand was kept extremely busy with over 50 visitors and great feedback on our eco-products. As we were there for 2 days, many people re-visited the stand with further questions. We took pride in promoting the Nike Grind products which are made from recycled Nike trainers. Our sustainable display banners made of bamboo were also an eye catcher. They were printed by Seacourt which is one of the top three leading environmental printers in the world through their waterless printing technology with 0% waste going to landfill.
