AOC Communications Conference

Held at the ICC in Birmingham, Hambleside Merchandise attended the AOC Communications Conference on Wednesday 20^thMarch, this event was attended by 94 delegates from FE Colleges from across the country. The Association of Colleges sixth annual Communications Conference addressed the main challenges facing those working in College public relations, marketing, communications and reputation management.

There was a vast amount of topics covered, including –

• Impact of policy and politics on communications and marketing
• Developing successful Alumni Relations
• Social Media Customer Service
• PR and communications planning
• Marketing and communicating apprenticeships

At the Hambleside stand we spoke with over 20 Colleges about our merchandise and service offering. From this we gained valuable information on popular industry topics as well as useful tips on social media. The Ihorn give away went down extremely well, although we had to do lots of demonstrations to prove it worked!
