Congratulations to our Operations Manager, Clare Welch, who ran the Kent Roadrunner marathon this weekend in 5hrs 22.17. Not only was this a massive achievement for finishing a marathon, but Clare also sustained an injury to a tendon in her leg a few months ago and so hadn't trained for 8 weeks.
The Kent Roadrunner is 20 laps around a course and so Clare originally went along to the event to have a go and see how she faired as her 16 week marathon training had gone out the window. With the idea of retiring from the race when she felt she needed to, Clare went on to finish the race with a decent time. Needless to say, we are all delighted for her and her massive achievement.
